Oerol Friday 9 June 2017
The first day of Oerol started off a bit rainy and with the roll of the drums. The Japanese musicians of Dadadadan Tenko gave everyone a warm and mostly rhythmic welcome during the opening of the Westerkeyn festival site. At the harbor of West-Terschelling many umbrellas could be seen and at the Groene Strand the buoys of Tussen Land en Eiland looked a bit deserted. Back in Midsland there was a “Prentje Momentje”, some fanatical participation in the De Grote Tune Show by the Pop Up Disco Club, the students of the Fontys Academy for Circus and Performance Art showed their talent and the two aquanauts of Sonate Jheronimo brought their sonata to Jheronimus Bosch.
